Tevez Gunning For United
January 21st, 2010 by admin
In form Carlos Tevez has stated that he is determined to finish off his former club and take Manchester City into their first major final in 29 years. Tevez bagged both City’s goals in the 2-1 Carling Cup semifinal first leg at Eastlands on Tuesday to the delight of City fans and the dismay of United fans. Perhaps to make matter worse Tevez celebrated his second goal right in front of the dugouts with his ears cupped to the City fans’ adulation.
It was a point made to the Manchester United boss who turned a deaf ear to the Reds supporters’ cries of ‘Fergie sign him up’ throughout last season. “That would be a dream in my first season at City. I know how much they love beating United that was very clear on Tuesday. They had to suffer earlier in the season when we lost in injury-time there and you saw what that meant to Sir Alex Ferguson and the United players in the way they celebrated,” The Sun quoted Tevez, as saying.
