Beckham who is due to play against United for AC Milan in a couple of weeks has said that he still misses United.
“When I was at Real Madrid it just never felt right to come back to Old Trafford,” Beckham said.
He added: “The thought of playing United always gives me that sick feeling because I missed the club so much.”
Beckham suffered emotionally when he left United after 12 glorious years.
“The first few years away were hard and there were a lot of things I missed. It was the club I always wanted to play for and I loved every minute of my time there,” the Daily Express quoted him, as saying.
“I always wish I was part of Manchester United, it’s just in me. Even though I’m not there any more, I’m still a huge fan and watch every game where possible. I always want them to do well and be successful because the club still means so much to me,” he said.
“When the draw was made it just felt it was the right time to go back. There isn’t one player I’m particularly looking forward to facing. I’m just looking forward to being a part of it all and savouring the atmosphere in both games.
“Returning to Old Trafford is going to be special and a very emotional night. I’ve spoken to Gary Neville since the draw and we both believe it’s going to be a great tie,” Beckham said.

John Terry looks set to lose the captains arm band after his affair with team-mate Wayne Bridge’s girlfriend was exposed. In a recent poll of 2,000 supporters, 87 per cent called for Terry to be axed as captain.
Capello is fuming that if he includes both players in his squad, and Bridge agrees to don the England shirt, he faces a headache over whether they can be on the pitch at the same time.”Fabio is spitting mad. He doesn’t want anything to derail the team’s preparation in the run up to the tournament in South Africa. His view is that footballers should be seen and not heard,” The Sun quoted a FA source, as saying.
“John’s personal life is taking the focus away from what’s really important – England winning the World Cup,” the source said.

Mike Atherton has stated that Andrew Flintoff will not be considered for selection for the 2010 / 2011 Ashes series. Atherton believes that as far as he is concerned, the England team has evolved under the captaincy of Andrew Strauss, and Flintoff will never be under consideration for Test cricket again.
“There’s no way Flintoff will play Test cricket again. It’s not even worth contemplating. England have moved on from Freddie, and have had some good results without him,” The Mirror quoted Atherton, as saying.
“They have a settled side with the likes of Stuart Broad and Graeme Swann filling the all-rounder void,” he added.
The Lancashire star is said to be keen on facing the Aussies again when England go Down Under at the end of 2010.
However, it is believed that the selectors – most notably head coach Andy Flower and Strauss – are not prepared to make special plans and potentially upset the current players to accommodate him.

Rumours suggest that Robinho could make his final appearance for the club at Scunthorpe in the FA Cup fourth round game on Sunday.
It seems that Roberto Mancini has run out of patience and told the 32.5 million pound flop that he is no longer in his plans. The decision quickly follows Robinho’s very poor performance at Everton last week, when he came on as a substitute and was then subbed himself.
If reports are to be believed then Robinho will be going back to Santos until the end of the season.
