Scan reveal that Ryan Giggs has broken his arm during last nights 1-1 draw against Aston Villa so he will not be fit to play in the Carling Cup final. Giggs is expected to be out for at least 4 weeks so will miss, three Premier League games, the Champions League clash with AC Milan and the Wembley date with Villa on February 28.

He broke his arm after after clashing with Steve Sidwell, The Sun reports.

“Ryan’s had a plate put in his arm which will stay there for 2 to 3 weeks. He will still be able to train and he might be available for the second leg against Milan but it’s a long haul,” Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson said.
