World Cup 2010 Predictions and Preview
Are you excited for one of the world’s biggest sporting events? The FIFA World Cup is back in 2010, and will be viewed by millions of viewers across the world. This year’s FIFA World Cup marks the 19th tournament in history. The 2010 World Cup tournament is being hosted by South Africa, and will begin on June 11th, 2010 and run until July 11th when the final game will be played.
The teams have been selected for the tournament and the 8 groups are set. The hardest group looks to be Group G, which is being called the Group of Death by many. Group G consists of Brazil, Portugal and Ivory Coast who are all solid squads (along with North Korea who almost has no chance of making it on to the knockout rounds). Favored countries for the World Cup 2010 include Spain, Brazil and England, each who are paying out less then 10 to 1 to win the tournament. Last World Cup Champions, Italy, are currently paying out 13 to 1 to repeat as champions. Who do you think will win it all this summer?
I am going to leave World Cup Predictions up to the experts, but personally I am going with a team who wouldn’t surprise many by winning it – Brazil. If you look at the roster Brazil is bringing to the tournament it would be hard to disagree with me. Star players for Brazil that will put on a show include Cesar, Fabiano, Alves, and more. If you want an underdog pick for the World Cup 2010 I would say the USA have an outside shot at winning it. At odds of up to 60 to 1 you can get USA at a really good price, which could make for some excitement if they were to advance to the later rounds of the knockout rounds. The USA should have a good chance of advancing out of their group C with Slovenia and Algeria being two teams they are rated higher than (England is in their group and are almost a lock to advance).
Before you bet on the World Cup, do your own research and make your own predictions. There is a lot of fun to be had by placing fun wagers on the World Cup games, and future bets on who will win it all. You can find many different interesting websites that focus on World Cup predictions, analysis, betting trends and information that will all help you make your own picks and predictions. Either way, betting or not betting, this World Cup 2010 in the summer is going to be exciting!
