Looks like the rumours we thought could never be true are indeed going to happen. Manchester City has completed a 25-million-pound swoop for Barcelona strike ace Samuel Etoo and by this week, they will confirm the 30-million-pound signing of Argentine striker Carlos Tevez from Manchester United.
This can only be described as a severe kick in the teeth for many united fans who wanted Tevez to stay. Tevez going to City is simply a nightmare!

Don’t have a heart attack as Gerrard is not going to retire yet! He has though said he will retire in 2013.
“I’ll be 33 at the end of my contract and it’s doubtful whether I’ll carry on. If I decide to stop, I will be proud of the fact I’ve spent my entire career with the same club,” The Sun quoted Gerrard, as saying.

Latest reports suggest that Manchester United are set to sign a 17 million pounds deal for Wigan winger Luis Antonio Valencia. United boss Fegie is confident that the Ecuador star will become part of his team instead of joining rivals Real Madrid, because the player is keen to play for United.
United at first were talking about player exchanges, but this is now unlikely because Steve Bruce has left and Roberto Martinez is set to take over as boss. Wigan may now prefer straight cash.

Perhaps as a major surprise to many Brazilian football superstar Robinho has dismissed suggestions he is anxious to quit the Premier League and return to Brazil. The Daily Express quoted him as saying: “I am very happy at City. Santos are the team of my heart and one day I want to go back there, but not now. I am happy with the affection shown by the fans in the final match of the season against Bolton.”
Many still feel that Robinho has not settled in Manchester backed by Marcelo Teixeira, the president of Santos, Robinho’s first club, as he stated at the weekend that Britain’s most expensive footballer was unhappy with life at Manchester City and hankered after a return to South America.
City fans will be delighted by the Robinho statement as he is City’s top scorer with 15 goals following his 32.5million pounds from Real Madrid.
